WHY DID YOU CHANGE YOUR NAME FROM WHITE WOODLAND?

From 2015-2018 my business was known as White Woodland. I changed the name in 2019 because (I got married!) and I feel that my photographs are an extension of ME. I love the idea that my brand/style/business can evolve as I do!

WHAT IS YOUR LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE?

I started photographing weddings as a second photographer for Third West Studio back in 2013 and I accredit almost everything I know to April. This talented lady even designed my logo! Since then I’ve studied film photography at the University of Minnesota, taken countless workshops, coordinated my own styled shoots, and continue to photograph with other photographers. I’ve photographed over 30 weddings and I love watching that number grow!

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

My primary cameras are a Nikon D800 and D810 with the Sigma Art lenses. My flash is the Nikon SB-700 AF Speedlight, but in all honesty . . . I really only use it for dancing photos!

DO YOU TRAVEL?

Do you like puppies . . . ? Of course I do! Take a look at my “About” page to see where I’ve already traveled and where I’d like to go! 

DO YOU charge for TRAVEL?

Travel costs depend on where I’m going. If you’re more than 3 hours away from central Wisco . . . there’s a chance I’ll need a hotel. Definitely inquire if you’re eloping, because I’d be happy to adjust the wedding collection price.

DO YOU HAVE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

Yes! I have many talented friends (who are also wedding photographers) and I’ll hire one for your wedding. All images are still edited by me.

WHAT’S YOUR SHOOTING AND EDITING STYLE?

I like to think that you’ll only notice me during portraits . . . otherwise I’m actively photographing from the sidelines. Of course, I’ll step in and provide direction when needed . . . but otherwise I want the day to unfold naturally!

My editing style is always evolving, but that’s only because I’m becoming more experienced and creative! Take a look over on Instagram to see my current style. I like to think that I’m a pretty consistent person.

HOW LONG UNTIL I SEE MY PHOTOGRAPHS?

Wedding galleries are delivered in 6-8 weeks. I always share a couple sneak peeks after the wedding though!

Couple and Lifestyle photographs are delivered in 2-3 weeks.

Mini Session galleries are delivered the same day!

how many photos do you deliver?

I average 60-80 (edited, delivered) images per hour.

do you shoot film?

My goal for 2020 weddings is to shoot at least 1 roll of film per wedding!
